I have done some soap carving before like the Merlion when I was in grade 8 but this one is my favorite. This is one of our activities in Contemporary Arts last semester, carving any figures using Perla soap. I decided to carve a rose since it is one of my favorite flower then I paint it with pink and black for the background to make it look like wild hahaha. When I almost finished it, one of the petal of the rose got broke..

...but luckily, I have a shoe glue that time so I decided to put some and finally it worked, my broken wild rose turned into a fixed wild rose again.

Materials used:

Perla soap

Water-based painting

Carving tools
